Every CrossFit ‘box’ runs a little different and much differently to conventional group classes. Our emphasis is to educate on correct techniques, body positioning and how to get the most from each and every workout. So our class template isn’t your typical warm up then 3,2,1, Go!

We always start with addressing specific mobility issues – ‘mobility’ is directly related to improving positions your body can get to safely and therefore a big contributor in increasing your performance in the gym and in life. The daily mobility allows you to start understanding how your body works so that you do less to inhibit it in daily life and more to enhance your quality of movement. This is how you become a stronger more powerful athlete or simply more functional and independant as you get older.

Once we complete mobility we move onto a dynamic warm-up to prepare your body for the daily workout, teach and reinforce the movements required for that day. This ensures you have proper understanding of the technique, scaling movements to suit your ability and how the workout should feel.

Quite often but not always, we program a strength component after this where we can develop our physical strength. This is key to building lean muscle or burning fat and working technique under load without the added pressure of doing it ‘for time’.

To finish off we hit our WOD  (Workout Of the Day) which is usually described as metabolic conditioning (metcon) which when done correctly will start to make changes in your body at a molecular and chemical level (positive hormone release and adaptations); this is where and why some of the biggest and quickest change occurs to CrossFitters. Workouts are relatively short and intense but also completely scalable to create the right intensity for each members differing ability levels.

Post class we encourage you to cheer others on, stretch/warm down, to work on your mobility and movements or just hang out with our community.

All of this is done in just 1hr a day. 4-6 times a week for the best results and fit for your lifestyle.
